For two years, 1978-1980, Abbas covered the Iranian revolution and its aftermath. This is a selection of some of his now historic photos of the dramatic events that lead to the return of the Ayatollah Khomeini after 15 years in exile and to the fall of the Shah's regime on February 11th 1979.
