Jérôme Sessini reports from Nagorno-Karabakh for Politico and L’Obs
Politico’s coverage of conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region features images taken by Jérôme Sessini this week. A ceasefire has taken place following an agreement made by Armenian president Nikol Pashinyan conceding territory to Azerbaijan. Read more on the story here.

New Alec Soth book on Buzzfeed
The Parameters of Our Cage, a new book by Alec Soth sharing correspondence between the photographer and C. Fausto Cabrera, a prisoner at a Minnesota correctional facility, features in a new piece on Buzzfeed. The two began writing letters to each other in spring this year, at the outbreak of the coronavirus. Read the Buzzfeed feature here. The New York Times pays tribute to late Bruno Barbey
The New York Times has published an obituary for the French Magnum photographer Bruno Barbey, who died earlier this month aged 79. The newspaper recalled Barbey’s assertion that photography “is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the world.” Read the piece here. Martin Parr’s Ireland project in The Mirror
The new book by Martin Parr, From The Pope to a Flat White, has been featured in an article in Irish edition of The Mirror. The monograph collects work the photographer has made in the country over four decades, and accompanies an exhibition which is touring around Ireland. Read the feature here.
Documentary with Steve Waugh features on ABC
Australian news channel and website ABC has shared a feature on the documentary, ‘Capturing Cricket’, which explores Steve Waugh and Trent Parke’s journey to photograph the “spirit of cricket” in India. Parke mentored the professional cricketer — whom he met when Parke photographed the Australian cricket team on tour in 1996 — on image-making for a book project. Read the feature here.
