Description

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the legendary lab Pictorial Service, aka PICTO, this exhibition is a tribute to the historic relationship between Magnum Photos and Picto that started in the 1930s  in Paris with the friendship between Magnum founders Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Chim (David Seymour) and George Rodger, and Picto’s founder Pierre Gassmann. Curated by photography historian Carole Naggar, this show includes the work of nineteen Magnum photographers and over 100 vintage and modern prints, bringing together Magnum’s past and present generations.

This exhibition will open at the Taittinger Gallery, NY, on Thursday, October 29th, and will be on view through December 20, 2020.
