Martin Parr at the Cricket
Martin Parr‘s career-long obsession with following the British in their leisure pursuits has taken him to Sri Lanka, where he followed the “Barmy Army” cricket supporters to England’s test match against the country’s national team. See the story on Cricket Monthly from ESPN here.
Martin Parr for Gucci
Martin Parr’s campaign for Gucci’s cruise look book has enjoyed an excited welcome amongst the fashion press. Titled WORLD (The Price of Love), named after the New Order song and featuring the lyrics on the cover, the book has been featured by Hypebeast here and i-D here this week.
Susan Meiselas on i-D Magazine
i-D magazine has spoken to the 2019 Deutsche Borse Foundation prize nominees, which includes Magnum member Susan Meiselas. Meiselas, who was nominated for her retrospective exhibition Mediations, tells the publication: “The notion of ‘mediation’ is about acknowledging the intervention, making the process more visible and raising questions about the practice of making photographs, and how those photographs relate to the people in them, over time.” Read the rest of the feature here.
