Magnum Photographers
The Cultural Department oversees the origination of exhibitions from either archival or newly commissioned work alongside managing an extensive touring programme and the production of Magnum branded books.
Our exhibitions range from classic retrospectives to specific monographic series and group shows. Some are accompanied by publications and catalogues can be commissioned to specific briefs. Varying in size and number of prints, Magnum exhibitions require between 150 and 500 feet of running wall space. We provide exhibitions framed and crated, ready for installation with accompanying captions, texts and images for press and communication purposes. Magnum’s photographers are available to attend exhibition openings and participate in accompanying public programming.
We also oversee individual or large-scale group commissions across multiple platforms including deliverables such as exhibitions and books with cultural clients.

Touring Exhibitions
Magnum holds a large collection of photography exhibitions which we make available to museums and institutions throughout the world. They range from classic retrospectives to specific monographic series and group shows. Varying in size and number of exhibition prints, they require between 150 and 500 feet of running wall space. Magnum exhibitions come framed and crated, ready for installation. Captions, texts and photographs for press and communication are also provided. The Magnum photographers will attend to their openings if possible and requested by the venues.
Most of our exhibitions leave enough space for curators to include personal research or publish a special catalogue. Our philosophy is to work with each venue in order to adapt to specific needs and wishes.
